To Market ... To Market

This week I have made some more lovely porcelain spoons for Salamanca Market
Ideal for many things, but I like them best of all for Jam with Scones & Cream

To Market ... To Market

This afternoon I will be putting the lustre detail on more of these lovely little pots.
They are Southern Ice Porcelain with Vintage Wallpaper embossed detail on the outside and glazed on the inside. They also have a platinum lustre edging detail and come with a tiny spoon, and are fast becoming one of my best selling homeware pieces.

To Market ... To Market

Vintage Coasters are back in stock - I was keeping these aside for the Christmas rush, but so many people have been requesting them....so here they are.
Each coaster is rolled by hand, then embossed with a Vintage Wallpaper, before being cut into shape, glazed and fired.
Sets of 4

To Market ... To Market

This week I will (hopefully) have some more Girl mugs - they are still in the kiln at the moment, so cross my fingers that they come out OK, as well as some lovely French Bistro pieces.
The French Bistro pieces are stamped by hand and the glaze is also hand-painted, with a lovely pale blue on the inside and a rusty/blue speckled outside.
There are mugs - Chocolat, The, Cafe
Large Soupe bowl, Small Glace Bowl and a Plat Du Jour small plate

Ships Captain plate - I will taking this on Sunday to The Market

I missed last weeks To Market... just too busy

But this week I have made a cute little plate....not quite a pirate, more an old Ships Captain

with coloured patterns and gold and platinum lustre detail.

This week it's multi-market time.

This week I will be in my usual Salamanca Market spot. As well as the usual pieces I will be taking along some samples and bits and bobs that haven't quite made it into my jewellery range.

These will be for sale until sold out.

AND.... The Market is on again

Better than Ever this year will see a change in The Market set-up and I am really excited to be participating.

Sunday 10am-3pm

Masonic Hall - Sandy Bay Road

Have a look on their website at the LOOKBOOK

I will be taking some 1 off and limited edition pieces, as well as trialling some new pieces that I intend to add into my jewellery range

To Market ... To Market

This weeks new item is an ice cream scoop

Made in Southern Ice Porcelain it is really smooth and keeps cool, so makes scooping a breeze

I've only made 2 so far, and 1 I have kept for myself (which is very unusual, as I mostly sell all my products and just keep the samples or seconds).... anyway if it gets a good response at Salamanca I will make some more

I'd like to make some bowls to match the next one, or pop some lustre writing on the scoop

Maybe something fun like "we all scream for ice cream"

A Great Market Day

I was tired today... but once I had set up and the customers started arriving it's hard to focus on yourself. I really enjoyed Salamanca Market today.

After I set up I purchased some plants for the garden. Then did a quick round of the stalls - spotted Katie from 'what katie did next' and also Narelle from 'Ruby Victoria Letterpress' - these are all other fellow Tasmanian's that design and make all their own wares.

Around 9.00am I headed off quickly to the Lamb spot (sorry don't know what it is called - but they do fantastic food) and ordered a Lamb wrap - they also do a divine egg, bacon, mushroom, tomato roll for breakfast .... so yummy!!!!

I had a great day sales wise - as well as my usual jewellery sales I sold my new set of heart mugs to a lovely couple, and a few more girl mugs, some coasters, a few mini condiment/salt&pepper pots and lots of bits and pieces.

It's so nice to know that people do appreciate handcrafted items.

At the end of the day I headed off to another stallholder (sorry, also do not know what they are called - but I will find out) and bought some brownie/fudge - which I call 'fownie' and some other delightful mini desserts to take to my Mum's house, as I'm heading over there to stay the night and have dinner - along with my 3 boys, as my husband is away.

It's going to be 30 degrees tomorrow, so as Mum lives at the beach I will spend the day relaxing there - swimming, having a BBQ and drinking champagne....
